All gamers have heard or played a game by the great design master Reiner Knizia, who has designed over 500 games and won numerous awards. He has even designed games specially for the ipod touch. One of his most famous games is Robot Master, which is a puzzle game that is extremely easy to learn, something that deserves a great plus in my book. The game play is simple, and the rules are easy to remember. So how can you play this game? -First you take turns placing numbered cards down on a 5×5 grid so you can score lines both vertically and horizontally. The score is determined by the sum of the cards. For example: 1+2+4+5+0= 12 points. But like most Knizia’s game nithing is quite that simple as you might think. Here is a little twist: 1. Pairs of cards anywhere in the line count 10x their face value (1+2+4+2+0= 25 points); 2. Triple cards anywhere in the line count 100 points regardless of their face value (0+1+2+0+0= 103 points), and that would be it. So if you are good in math there won’t be any problems for you with the gameplay. Oh, and before I forget, there is one thing that you always must keep in mind, your final score is only your lowest scoring line, and you want the highest score possible. So you have to place those cards down strategically.
