Rock Band redefined music games, becoming an overnight sensation that let you jam out to popular tunes with your friends. You start off with 15 songs (including singles by Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Blondie, and many others) and can then unlock additional songs or buy song packs in 99-cent installments through in-app purchases. The controls vary from predictable retreads to ghastly bastardizations. If you play guitar or bass, you simply tap the screen with your fingers at the appropriate time and earn extra points for enabling power boosts when you’ve collected enough energy. You can pause the game and pick up shortly before your next note—a nice accommodation to the short playing sessions of the iPod. Rock Band for the iPod Touch is a perfectly acceptable tapping rhythm game that—like a Nickelback song—lacks originality. Pray to the rock gods that EA decides to create an update with real vocal abilities and improved controls.

If I say that all you have to do in this game is to shoot a ball out of a cannon towards a series of pegs that as are grouped in a variety of manners; there are several different colors that the pegs can be, the most important color being orange andour mission; you have 10 balls to shoot and try to eliminate all orange pegs, it would sound incredibly, amazingly and utterly boring. But do not jump to any conclusions when it comes to this game, and trust me when I say that there is nothign boring about this game, there is only fun, fun, and some more fun. The reasons for a game like this being fun must be unique and different. After all, my poorly worded description doesn’t really sound like it would be a barrel full of monkeys, but it is. The developer is PopCap Games, that’s right; THE PopCap Games, the developers of Plants vs. Zombies, I know I have your attention now, so please continue reading this review. Other than the humor, that is so well known for Pop Cap games, you’ll also see great graphics and a fantastic use of sound throughout the game. None of those things are the key to this game’s success though. The game is very successful because the pegs that aren’t colored orange all have special attributes and using those magic pegs in a variety of different ways in a real treat. The game is surrounded with incredibly cute animals that take you through how to play each type of level. And you really have a tremendous amount of replay value within the game. Each level has several stages. And each level allows you to win in a variety of different ways and strategies. When you shoot the ball out of the cannon, the physics engine takes over. The ball you shoot can bounce like crazy and depending upon which angle you use to shoot it, you will have a drastically different result. Even if you run out of balls and don’t hit all of the orange pegs (thus losing), replaying the stage is a lot of fun. That is a characteristic of only great games. If you still are not convinced then download the game and see for yourself. And if you are convinced then download this game and kiss your free time goodbye.
Ever wanted to be a fashion designer, but simply didn’t know whether you can work under such pressure or not? -Now, you can find that out in a fun and simple way. All i know that kids around the world, girls especially, have gone crazy about this game. Believe it or not, this game puts you in charge of a fashion show. Oh yes, a real life fashion show, models and pressure included. Your goal is to put on a 5 star show by matching the right clothes to the right styles. The controls can really not be more simple, all you have to do is drag the right set of clothes to the right model and tap the screen to send the dressed model out. That’s it. Power ups are available throughout the game. Power-ups can be used to further increase your fashion points and get you closer to a 5 star show.I don’t want to be sexist here but let’s be honest - this game is almost certainly going to be played more by style-conscious female fashionistas than macho men.But if men can put the stigma of playing a ‘girlie’ game aside I promise that they will actually find this one is quite good fun.To make things more challenging you have to available modes of gameplay: In runway mode the aim is to choose outfits for your models that will wow the watching critics. This involves selecting costumes from the rack, consisting of tops, bottoms and footwear, which best fit a required theme for each model; and in photo mode the skill is to capture your models at their beautiful best by snapping a series of perfectly framed pictures. To do this pan across the set looking for a model wearing an outfit which best fits a style chosen from the top of the screen. Touch down on the screen to move the lens around and get each picture in focus. Let go of the screen to take the shot. Points are awarded in this mode for accuracy in selecting the right model and taking a good photo.All that being said, just release your inner designer and have fun.
Well this is a game for those of you who have a little destructive side. The goal here is to cause as much pain as you can imagine to each rag doll that appears in each level. At the end of the level, the total damage i.e the summary from the damage on each body part gives you the number of your points and takes you to the next level. Ok so how do you play this game, I am sure that you already know that the goal is to cause as much pain as possible. So how do you do that. Well you have several ways, the first one is by nudging your character, but bear in mind that you have only a certain number of nudges per level, so use them only when you have to. Another cool way to cause pain is by a simple tilt of your ipod. On each level you have a series of objects, some interactive and some just for decoration. You can recognize the interactive ones by the red button that will appear on the screen. By choosing to use this object, you will cause a chain reaction, causing the other objects to fall, or burn, thus causing damage to your character. The coolest part of this game would be the level editor. Here you can create a level by your own liking. You can create a torture chamber for the maximum amount of points, or you can go easy on your character and create only minor obstacles. This is a highly addictive game, because here you have the freedom of creating your levels, which promises to keep your busy for a while. And the best part is that, after a hard day at work, you can put your bosses face on the rag doll and just release all your negative energy and relax.
Sneezies is definitely a unique idea for a game on the iPhone, and iPod Touch platform. Once you download and install the application, and touch its icon, you are greeted by a very nicely laid-out screen full of curious looking small furry animals. You have the option playing Classic or Challenge modes, adjusting the settings, or viewing scores. The point of the game is to get as many of the “Sneezies” to sneeze as possible. This is done in a chain reaction kind of way. You place one sneeze at the beginning, and must cause a chain reaction to get as many Sneezies to sneeze as possible, therefore popping their respective bubbles. Once their bubble is popped, the Sneezie will promptly sneeze hopefully popping another bubble causing a sneeze, and so on until all of the Sneezies have been removed from their bubbles and sneezed. Once you are able to get the minimum amount of sneezes for the current level you are on, you move to the next level. Best that I can tell, you get as many chances at a level as you would like to take. After every attempt, you have the option of quitting and putting your score on the high score list. The game has great graphics and very smooth gameplay. The game’s music can get tedious, but can be turned off. Overall, Sneezies is a very good game with moderate re-playability.
Supernova Blast is a Fun fast paced Strategy game where you create and blast your way between supernovae. Increase energy stars and blast them in multiple supernovae. The game is available in both lite and full versions, with the main difference between them being: the lite version features: 15 Levels, 3 Difficulty starting choice for players of all skill levels, difficulty increase gradually during levels, height quality sound fx, intuitive touch control, interactive tutorial etc; and the full version features: 250 Levels, auto save levels, levels selectable and many more. Unique and fascinating in its game-play. The rules of the game are taught in a good interactive tutorial.The goal of the game is to empty the play-field from stars going supernova. If a big yellow one is touched it will explode and parts of the star will fly in all four directions (vertical and horizontal). If such a particle collides with another big yellow star it will go supernova too, ending in chain reactions. Each of the 250 levels provides a “par” and a max. number of moves…This is a recommendation for puzzle-maniacs and those who want to squeeze their brains.
